How do you have time to blog?
I’ve gotten this question a lot – how do you have time to blog? If you’ve read any of my kid-related posts, you know that I’ve seriously got my hands full. However, I would not call myself a super-mom. The truth is that my blogging (and cooking, for that matter) are things that I really enjoy doing and so I make time for them. Everyone has things that they make time for – exercise, sleep, reading, Facebook, TV – no judgment at all on how people choose to use their time, but my point is that I choose to make time in my day for the things that make me…

Today was a Good Day
Today was an awesome day. The kind of day that makes you stop and think; to reflect on life and what’s really important. I can count on one hand the number of days I’ve had that have impacted me like today. Today my cousin and her husband brought home their two little boys, Nathaniel (6) and Elijah (3), from Uganda. Today these little boys left a life as orphans to come home to a family that loves them more than they will ever know. The 10th Anniversary of My 21st Birthday
I’ve got an anniversary coming up – a big one! Oh, where I was then, and where I am now – what a difference! Like, not even in the same universe different! I was having a grand ole time down in Gainesville, doing what most 21-year-olds do in a college town. Little did I know where 10 years would take me – it’s greater than I could have ever imagined. I’m starting a blog!
So I’ve finally decided to start a blog. The conditions have been favorable for a while… I love to cook, my kids (1 and 3) provide me with endless sitcom-quality humor to share, I love to throw a party and I have a tendency every once in a while to go a tad overboard with them, I have a DSLR camera that I am trying to master, and in my heart I am still the same ole yearbook editor from high school who likes to organize words and pictures to tell a story.
