A Pirate Halloween Party
Parties are my thing. I love thinking them up, I love planning out all the details, but most of all I love the joy that they bring to others. Last year, my middle son Beckett asked if we could have a Halloween party. At the time, I had just been diagnosed with cancer, but the thought of throwing him a party the next year, when I was to be mostly done with my treatments and hopefully feeling like myself again, was a nice goal to set. Day 2 – Pirate Max finds his treasure!
Day 2 of our Elf on the Shelf had Max dressed like a pirate who found his treasure. Equipped with a treasure map and sword, Max certainly played the part. Brogan thought he was pretty silly, and Beckett wanted to play with all of his loot. Max’s presence has had Brogan on his best behavior – one reminder that Max is watching has Brogan stopping… and thinking… and choosing to behave. Can we have an elf all year round?!?
