Day 18, 19 & 20 – Balloons, Briefs and Marshmallow Messages
The latest misadventures of Max… Aside from the fact that Becket is obsessed with balloons and went nuts to get the “buh-ga” (his 18-month-old word for balloon), we’ve been successfully creating magic each morning without dramatics over the favorite toy that’s off limits for the day. Just 5 days left this year! Click here to see what else our elf has done this year.

Day 15, 16 & 17 – Toilet Paper, Guitars & Reindeer Cars
The last couple days of Max shenanigans looked like this… We’ve been running into some trouble with Beckett – when Max is within his reach, he wants him… and sometimes grabs him, which is problematic because Brogan’s worried he’ll lose his magic. We’ve tried to explain that when little brothers don’t know any better, it’s alright, and obviously Max has not lost his magic yet. The explanation works for now. Day 12, 13 and 14 – Coffee, Ice Cubes and Cookies
I’m a couple of days behind… and then figured I’d go ahead and give the sneak preview on what Max is up to tonight. Day 12 – Max has been pulling some late nights getting in to all this trouble and needed a caffeine fix. Day 13 – Max nearly turned into an ice cube! Lucky for him, his head was too big to fit into the cube, so he’s only partially frozen. When Brogan asked if he was cold, I reminded him that Max is from the North Pole where it is much colder than it is in our freezer. Made sense to him. Day 14 – Sneak peak……

Day 11 – Bandaid Bandit
Max got the inspiration for this stunt from Brogan – my child who has been known to wake up in the middle of the night and adorn himself with bandaids (and gloves too). So imagine Brogan’s excitement when our elf was up to his own tricks! Click here to see what else our elf has done this year.

Day 10 – Max the Mummy
Ole Max turned into a mummy last night. I wasn’t home when Brogan woke up this morning to get his initial reaction, but this afternoon when I asked him what Max had done, he said, “Mommy, you won’t believe it!! Max is a mummy!” Making Christmas time magical for him (and Beckett – although he doesn’t quite get what’s going on) is just so awesome! Click here to see what else our elf has done this year.

Day 9 – Beach Day
So Max (and me) have been a little jealous of all my Florida friends and family posting pictures at the beach and on the lake in 80-degree weather (in December!!) while we’re in day 8 of rain and it’s 42 degrees. Well Max decided it was time for a little beach getaway… When Brogan saw Max, he promptly decided he’d taste the sand (so glad Max opted for brown sugar!). Day 8 – Carnival Ride
We think Max has lost his mind… he turned our fan into a carnival ride! The boys were both pretty amazed at this one. Beckett would just stand in the living room looking up at all these swinging toys and grin. Too fun! 🙂 Click here to see what else our elf has done this year.

Day 5 – Chocolate War
So our elf got into a little chocolate combat with some of his friends last night… While initially excited, when Brogan discovered that Max had used all of his Oreos to build his fortress, he was slightly miffed. Oops. Click here to see what else our elf has done this year.

Day 3 – Paper Sack Race
Max decided to have a paper sack race with some of his buddies. Ole’ Woody got a little competitive at the end, but Max pulled off a win. Unfortunately my boys were pretty sick today (they’ve got the flu!!), so Brogan wasn’t as excited about Max as he has been. They’ll be better soon and be back in the holiday spirit. Day 2 – Pirate Max finds his treasure!
Day 2 of our Elf on the Shelf had Max dressed like a pirate who found his treasure. Equipped with a treasure map and sword, Max certainly played the part. Brogan thought he was pretty silly, and Beckett wanted to play with all of his loot. Max’s presence has had Brogan on his best behavior – one reminder that Max is watching has Brogan stopping… and thinking… and choosing to behave. Can we have an elf all year round?!? Anyways, it’s been a fun start to this Christmas season! Can’t wait for all the other fun that Max has in store! Click here to see what else our elf has…
